Task 1: ICT in the ESO
Information and communications technology offers us the possibility of communicating with the whole world and also the access to an incessant flow of information. Moreover, the knowledge of a foreign language fosters communication through the use of new technologies. The use of ICT is nowadays essential in education as it promotes the ability to search, obtain, process and communicate information. Therefore, the digital competence is one of the crosscurricular elements contemplated in the curriculum of secondary education.
The development of this competence allows the students to be more autonomous during the learning process, to create any type of digital content and to work individually or in groups through tasks or projects that involve the management of different digital tools. In conclusion, ICT allows students to have an active role in the learning process and to develop the four main language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) through digital resources.
